ROAS improvement
The Forever Rose sells luxury preserved and gold-dipped roses — handcrafted gifts designed to last a lifetime. Based in the USA, they operate in a highly seasonal ecommerce market where Valentine's Day alone can make or break an annual revenue target. Their products carry strong gross margins and a loyal repeat customer base, with 30–40% of orders coming from returning buyers. The economics were strong. The question was whether their Google Ads could keep up with the opportunity.
When The Forever Rose came to Big Flare in January 2026, their Google Ads account had been setup to maximise ROAS at all costs. This can appear like a good strategy on paper, however it can conflict with the broader business goal of maximising revenue and profit, because cranking up the ROAS targets often costs significant total sales volume which can lead to less actual profit despite the efficiency gain.
The account was running, and the numbers looked acceptable, but lacked initiative and a growth plan. Certain campaigns were being limited despite strong performance, while newer initiatives were difficult to evaluate with confidence. This created uncertainty around where additional budget should be deployed, how success should be measured across different campaign types, and how Google Ads should evolve as part of a broader acquisition strategy.
PMax split by ROAS buckets. We structured their PMax campaigns into high/low ROAS buckets, but also added in below-spending-threshold and zombie product buckets. This led to a lower tROAS for these extra buckets and unblocked volume and scale.
All products advertised. Their previous account structure had cut back on the number of products they could advertise, and we restructured this so they could advertise every product, leading to more volume, more revenue and a higher GPAAS.
Capitalising properly during times of high demand. The previous strategy before Big Flare was "do not spend that much on holidays like Valentine's Day or Mother's Day (due to strong organic sales)". Big Flare turned this around: when demand is high make sure your ads are already prepared and always there to take advantage of the opportunity.
All the usual implementations of the Big Flare Way: strong Search campaigns around non-brand and holidays, Demand Gen for top of funnel awareness, as well as seasonal campaigns.
Scaling from Google Ads across to Bing Ads and Meta Ads.
Since Big Flare took over the account, in the first half of 2026, The Forever Rose has added +100% in Google Ads revenue. Additionally, five of those six months were the highest revenue months in the account's entire history.
It wasn't just revenue growth, it was profitable revenue growth. Profit was up +91.5% year on year across H1. The account spend more, with ad spend being up by 82%. This was welcome additional spend, as ROAS had also improved by 63%, meaning that the spend growth was resulting in profit and revenue growth at the same time.
