Boost Clicks with This Free AI Tool for Better Shopping Ads Product Titles

Ever wondered how to get more out of your Google Ads Shopping campaigns without spending more on fancy tools?

Well, today I’ve got something for you that I think you’ll love.

I’m giving away a free AI tool I created, and it’s the very same one we use at my ads agency, Big Flare, to optimise our clients’ Shopping Ads and Performance Max campaigns. This tool helps you optimise product titles — and that, my friend, can mean up to 3x more clicks and conversions.

You can grab the tool here, then read on for how to use it!

We all know how important those product titles are. Google uses them as one of the biggest factors in deciding which keywords you show up for. If you’ve got a basic title just copied over from your product page, you’re probably missing out on a lot of potential impressions, clicks, and sales. But tweaking those titles, getting them just right? That’s where the magic happens, and that’s where this tool comes in.

Introducing the Product Title Optimiser AI

This AI tool is built on more than 10 years of my experience optimising product titles for Google Ads Shopping campaigns. It’s like having a professional copywriter, seasoned in ecommerce, right at your fingertips. The best part? You don’t need to change your website product titles, and you definitely don’t need to pay for an expensive product feed tool. You can do it all for free.

Here’s how it works:

Introducing the Product Title Optimiser AI
  1. Paste in Your Product URL. Start by opening the tool (there’s a link to access it below) and paste in your product URL. The tool will analyse the product page, grab the relevant details, and provide a summary.

  2. Add Your Brand Name. Next, add your store brand name. This will be added to the end of your product title to make sure your brand is visible in the ad.

  3. Customise with Keywords (Optional). If there are specific keywords you want to include, you can add them here. For example, if you’re selling a product like the Ridge Wallet, you could include keywords like “slim wallet” or “RFID blocking wallet.” This makes sure your product title is more relevant for the kinds of searches that will lead to more clicks.

  4. Generate and Tweak. The tool will generate an optimised product title for you. Even with the first output, you’re likely to see a massive improvement in relevance and keyword coverage compared to a generic title. But, if you’ve got a few extra minutes, you can tweak the title further — maybe add in some more detail, like the number of positive reviews or a specific feature you want to highlight. This is where the human touch can make the AI-generated titles even more compelling.

Example: Ridge Wallet

Let’s say you’re selling the Ridge Wallet. The original title might simply be “Ridge Wallet”. Not terrible, but also not great. With my tool, you could end up with a title like:

“Ridge Wallet - MKBHD Edition, Slim RFID Blocking Wallet for Men, Minimalist Design”

This title gives Google so much more context.

It includes the MKBHD collaboration (which people are searching for), plus features like “RFID blocking” and “slim wallet” that are important to potential buyers.

With a title like this, you’re far more likely to trigger searches for “RFID wallet”, “slim wallet for men”, and even “MKBHD wallet” — all relevant terms that your original title might have missed.

Getting Your New Titles Live in Google Ads

Now, once you’ve generated these new optimised titles, you need to get them into your Google Shopping or Performance Max campaigns. Here’s how to do that without changing anything on your website and without paying for a premium feed tool:

  1. Head to Google Merchant Center. Go into Google Merchant Center and find the product you want to update. In the new Merchant Center interface (which we’re all using now), click on the product and hit “Edit.”

  2. Edit Product Attributes. From here, you can edit the product attributes directly, including the title. Just delete the old title, paste in the new optimised one from the AI tool, and click save. Simple as that.

  3. Manual Title Lock. It’s worth noting that once you’ve manually updated a title in Merchant Center, it won’t automatically update if you make changes to your website. This is actually a good thing because it means your well-crafted title stays intact, even if you update the product details on your site. Just keep this in mind if you want to make future changes.

Why This Matters

The power of optimised product titles can’t be overstated. Titles are one of the biggest factors that determine which searches your ads show up for. By giving Google more context through better titles, you open the door to a much wider range of relevant searches. This means more impressions, more clicks, and more conversions, all without spending an extra penny on your ad spend.

Imagine running a Standard Shopping ad for a supplement called “Alpha Brain”. A generic title might just include the brand and product name. But with my AI tool, you could have something like:

“Alpha Brain by Onnit - Nootropic Supplement for Focus, Memory & Mental Clarity”

This title is far more likely to get attention from people searching for “nootropic”, “focus supplements”, or “brain support” — keywords that are highly relevant and likely to convert.

Using an optimised product title is one of the simplest and most effective ways to boost the performance of your Google Shopping or Performance Max ads. With this free AI tool, you can craft titles that give Google the context it needs to show your products in front of more shoppers — leading to increased impressions, clicks, and conversions.
